Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well.
Ah, yes, another huge gap between posts. It’s been over a year since I’ve updated, and I apologize for being MIA once again!
This review is on a great one. I just finished reading Still Foolin’ Em: Where I’ve Been, Where I’m Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys?, an autobiography by the legendary, Billy Crystal!
I became a fan after watching him do an incredible job hosting the 2012 Oscars and even more so when I saw Parental Guidance. Therefore, as soon as I found out about his book, I had to get my hands on a copy!
Crystal (of course) provides a summary of his life. He highlights memorable events including attending his first Yankees game, meeting his wife, Janice, and a behind the scenes look into iconic movies he’s starred in such as When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers, and Running Scared. Other more somber ones include Crystal explaining the impact of losing his father when he was only fifteen years-old and having lost several people whom he considered were closest to him over the years.
Some are shocking – he once got punched in the stomach by a well-known athlete. (I’m not going to say who!)
He also dedicates chapters to hilariously express his thoughts on topics like oral hygiene and becoming a grandfather. These were my favourite parts of the book!
I kid you not, I actually had to pause for a couple of minutes during the second page because I just couldn’t stop laughing! This was a frustrating review to write as I was so tempted to share a few funny stories and quotes. Nonetheless, you guys know me! I do my best to exclude spoilers. Overall, if good laughs, heartfelt moments, and inside scoops on what some celebrities are really like sounds enjoyable to you, I highly recommend giving Still Foolin’ Em a shot.
